We had yet to find a place that made good bagels. Until we found Shug’s. The perfect bagel must have a shiny exterior and a chewy, dense interior. We are searching no more.

Shug’s has two locations in Dallas: Mockingbird and Lemmon. We tried both and found the shop near SMU has better seating and the one further south has a drive-through. Both are dog friendly.

The spreads and toppings on their sandwiches are generous and flavorful. They do brisk business all day long, so it may help to order ahead.
