Who doesn’t appreciate a good macaron? The bakery at la Madeleine will not disappoint. Dining inside or on the patio, it’s easy to pretend you are sitting in Paris, enjoying a French meal with your espresso.

The original restaurant opened near the SMU campus in 1983. In 2002, the French conglomerate founded by Louis Le Duff, LE DUFF Group, acquired the brand. La Madeleine locations have grown to over 80 across the U.S., but still include the original on Mockingbird Lane.

The restaurant is a popular place for casual dining and most locations are open from 7 AM – 9 PM. Coffee and bakery items are available at a separate register, while dine-in customers choose food from a buffet and pay before finding a table.
